Growth on tissue in my mouth? what could it be?

I have a growth on the tissue that connects my tongue to the floor of my mouth. It started about a week ago. It doesn't hurt however it is a little tender. It looke like a little butter bean/tentacle. It also has little white bumps on the end. What could this be? Please help. Thank you.
