My kitten is really Hyper and acts funny?

I got my kitten a few days ago and already i have grew very attached to him. The woman i got it of told me that the mother cat was stray and abanded the kittens. i think im doing a good job with him however he is very Hyper at times Yes he does sleep alot and with he wakes up hes mad!! Hes Biting me And cant keep his nails in at all! .... and for some reason hes doing this really weird hunch thing with his back when ever you go towards him! hes a funny we character and playful. The woman who give me him told me he was Male witch im not sure of? and he was 4 weeks old he is tiny but i think hes at least 6-7 weeks can some one help me thanks
